Service Canada Citizenship Program

Service Canada was created to improve access to Canadian Government resources. Global Visas, the Worlds number one visa and relocation company welcomes this initiative for those looking to immigrate to Canada.
However, whilst Service Canada Immigration provides useful information it is limited in its advice for potential Canadian immigrants as visa applications really should be done by professional experts. Global Visas are the World's largest full service relocation company with officies around the Globe, including Canada.

Immigration to Canada based on the skilled worker category, is a very popular visa programme and is intended for people with high levels of skills and experience. With the United Nations consistently ranking Canada as one of the best places to live in the World, why wait to migrate? Moving to Canada is possible. The Canadian immigration system offers a variety of entry paths:
  • Younger people with in-demand qualifications and proficiency in English or French (or even better both languages) are eligible for Canadian immigration as skilled workers. There are special rules to enable software specialists and business immigrants to come under the Canada immigration system.
  • Immigration to Canada is possible for family members of people already established in the country.
  • People aged 18 to 30 from a number of Western countries can enjoy working holidays in Canada under the Working Holiday Program.

Canadian Citizenship

How to Become a Canadian Citizen

Applying for Canadian citizenship is a long process requiring many layers of paper work and a written and oral test. In general, permanent Canada immigration and citizenship is open to those who are 18 and above, already have permanent resident status and have lived in the country for over three years. In addition, you must not have committed a crime in the three years since your residence application or have had your citizenship for Canada taken away in the last five years. If you are under 18, you can apply for Canada citizenship and immigration if one of your parents or (adoptive or not) is a Canadian citizen. You do not need to have lived in the country for three years. Take the free assessment to find out if you qualify.

Canadian Citizenship Test

Once the first part of your application has been accepted, you must then undertake a Canada citizenship test. The test is done through written work and interviews and will assess your knowledge of Canada’s laws, history, values and institutions and your ability to speak one of the country’s two official languages: English and French. Find out the full requirements by taking the free assessment below.
